Meet the Spagnuolo's

Tony Spagnuolo

Barrister & Solicitor

Tony was born and raised in Vancouver and now lives in Burnaby with his wife, whom he married in 1991. Together, they have three children—all of whom are now part of the family businesses. James and Robert are lawyers, and Julia serves as the Business Development Manager.

Tony earned his degree in Business Administration and Economics from Simon Fraser University in 1985, followed by his law degree from the University of Victoria in 1988. He was called to the Law Society of British Columbia in 1989 and went on to found his own firm, now Spagnuolo LLP, which has grown into the largest residential conveyancing law firms in the province, together with a thriving full service solicitor practice.

He also founded Terra Firma Title Review, a service that helps realtors and consumers across the Lower Mainland better understand property titles. In addition to his legal work, Tony has been involved in a number of multifamily real estate developments over the years.

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active through sports and other activities, and he’s passionate about giving back — particularly when it comes to supporting children’s education and youth sports.

James Spagnuolo

Barrister & Solicitor

James joined Spagnuolo LLP in 2020 after articling and practicing in mid-size downtown Vancouver firms. He has a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and a Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University. He maintains a hybrid practice, and regularly assist clients with a wide range of matters.

As a member of the Real Estate group, James has considerable experience advising on commercial real estate matters for private developers and land owners, including many locally and family owned investment firms, banks and institutional clients. James maintains an active practice advising mortgage investment corporations and private lenders. As a member of the Estate and Wealth Advisory group, James practices in trust and estate planning, family enterprise planning and wealth advisory. His role at the firm has given James a unique perspective on not only the practice of law but in running a business, as such he prides himself on being to able to advise on a wide range of matters.

Married and with one child, James spends his free time taking care of his family, his golf game and playing tennis.

Robert Spagnuolo

Barrister & Solicitor

Robert completed his undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance in 2017 from McGill University, and Law School from the City, University of London in 2019. He was called to the bar in 2022, but has worked for Spagnuolo LLP since graduation.

Robert is well-versed in all thing’s conveyancing, contract drafting and review, and all title related matters. He manages Terra Firma Title Review, which reviews non-financial charges on title for over 1,000 realtors within the Lower Mainland.

Recently married, Robert spends time with his wife, friends, and family members golfing, snowboarding, and hiking with his dog.

Julia Spagnuolo

Business Development Manager

Julia completed her undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Victoria.  She is the last of Tony’s three kids to join the family business in the Spring of 2026.

Before joining the business, she held marketing roles at a nonprofit organization and a furniture manufacturer, where she managed product marketing, brand positioning, and consumer-focused initiatives.  Julia leads our client engagement efforts, developing tailored solutions, and ensuring we continue delivering exceptional value to customers.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, trying new workout classes, hiking and golfing.
